John A Borszich Scholarship 2010 Winners
The Grapevine-Southlake Soccer Association annually grants two $1,000 Scholarships: one to a male applicant and one to a female applicant. Scholarships are available to individuals planning to attend, or are currently attending, an accredited two or four-year college, university, trade or technical school. Applicants must have participated in the GSSA as a player, coach, referee or assistant referee. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, extra-curricular activities, personal goals, and essays. This year's winners are Jacob Quinn and Madison Boules, both from Grapevine High School.

Instructions for Late / Wait List registration:

  • $90 Fee for Grapevine/Southlake Residents - will be returned to you if we cannot place your child on a team
  • Copy of birth certificate for players new to GSSA
  • Drop paperwork and fee in the mail slot in the office door


Program Information

  • GSSA has recreational teams for ages 3 through 18.
  • Children must be 3 years old by 7/31/2010 (Fall 2010 Season)
  • We play two seasons:  Spring (February-May) and Fall (September-November).
  • Under 5 players (ages 3, 4, 5) participate in the coed Mini-Jogo program and play 8 games.
  • Girls may choose to play on an all-girls team at U6.
  • Practice times and locations are determined by the volunteer coaches. 
  • Uniforms are provided for U4- U6. 
  • Referees are provided for ages U7 and older. 
  • Children may "play up" one age group. 
  • U9-U19 teams play in the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League (NMCSL).
  • Half of the U9-U19 games are in Grapevine/Southlake and the rest are in surrounding cities

GSSA's Policy on Pets at the Fields
The GSSA board has adopted the following policy on dogs (including other leashed animals) for insuring a safe, non-distracting and sanitary environment for the participants, support volunteers and spectators:
  • Dogs or other pets required to be on a leash by the city of Grapevine or Southlake are not allowed at the U4-6 sidelines, goal lines, or bleacher area during game or warm-up.  In addition, dogs are not permitted on the playing fields and players areas.
  • Dogs are permitted at U7 and older divisions, but must be kept 10 yards or more from other seated spectators, bleachers and sidelines.   No dogs are permitted on the playing fields, players area or behind the goal lines.

  • Grapevine/Southlake residents ONLY
  • Register your child ONLINE for Academy Only
  • If your child is NEW to GSSA, I will need to see a copy of their birth certificate (fax or email)
  • send an email or leave a voicemail requesting an Academy Registration Form
  • I will email a signed copy to you within two business days. 
  • You may register in person during office hours or print a registration form and drop your paperwork through the mail slot in the office door. 
  • There is no deadline to register for Academy Only. 
  • The fee is $65 for the entire soccer year (Fall 2010 through Spring 2011).
