Spring 2010 Registration
|
Registration for Spring 2010 (Recreational Players) ended Wednesday, January 20th.
We are no longer accepting Scholarship Applications for the Spring 2010 season.
To REGISTER for the WAIT LIST, please (1) complete a registration form and return to the office with a (2) check/money order for $90 and a (3) copy of the child's birth certificate if they are new to GSSA. If you cannot come by during office hours, please drop your paperwork in the mail slot in the office door. We are able to place many children from the wait list, but we cannot guarantee they will be able to return to their team from a prior season. Your check will be returned to you if we cannot place your child on a team.

"ACADEMY ONLY" REGISTRATION: >> Click Here for SportsPilot Online Registration << After you have registered your child for Academy Only, send an email or leave a voicemail requesting an Academy Registration Form. I will email a signed copy to you within two business days. You may also register in person during office hours.
U9 & U10 PARENTS: If enrollment drops below Fall 2009 levels, U9 and U10 teams may participate in the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League (NMCSL) to guarantee enough games. NMCSL teams include Colleyville, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Trophy Club, Roanoke, Eagle Mountain and N. Fort Worth. Generally, half of the games will be in Grapevine/Southlake.

Program Information

GSSA has recreational teams for ages 4 through 18.
-
Children must be 4 years old by 12/31/09.

We play two seasons: Spring (February-May) and Fall (September-November).

Under 5 players participate in the coed Mini-Jogo program (see NEWS tab).

Girls may choose to play on an all-girls team at U6.
-
Practice times and locations are determined by the volunteer coaches.

Uniforms are provided for U4- U6.

Referees are provided for ages U7 and older.

Children may "play up" one age group.

U11 - U19 teams play in the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League.
-
U9 and U10 may also play in this league depending on enrollment.

Half of the U11-U19 games are in surrounding cities and the rest are in Grapevine/Southlake

GSSA's Policy on Pets at the Fields
The GSSA board has adopted the following policy on dogs (including other leashed animals) for insuring a safe, non-distracting and sanitary environment for the participants, support volunteers and spectators:
- Dogs or other pets required to be on a leash by the city of Grapevine or Southlake are not allowed at the U4-6 sidelines, goal lines, or bleacher area during game or warm-up. In addition, dogs are not permitted on the playing fields and players areas.
- Dogs are permitted at U7 and older divisions, but must be kept 10 yards or more from other seated spectators, bleachers and sidelines. No dogs are permitted on the playing fields, players area or behind the goal lines.
