FEB 18TH - Season Starts for U4-U14 Date: Saturday, February 4th

FEB 19TH - Season Starts for Adults Where: Plucker's in Grapevine

MARCH 11TH, 17TH-23RD - No Games Time: 9am for U9-U16

MARCH 24TH - Season Starts for U15-U16 10am for U4-U8

MARCH 24TH - Bob Jones Picture Day At this meeting you will be getting a lot of valuable

MARCH 31ST - Oak Grove Picture Day information, as well as, your Coach ID card, sign up

APRIL 8TH - No Games for practice fields, and get uniforms, cones and balls

APRIL 14TH - Bob Jones (for new coaches and the younger groups). We will

Picture/Trophy/Participation Award Delivery provide donuts and drinks. Please have you background

APRIL 21ST - Oak Grove check completed before the meeting, if you are a new

Picture/Trophy/Participation Award Delivery coach. If you cannot attend, please have someone

APRIL 28th - Last Games for U4-U14 come in your place. We would like to see EVERY

MAY 4TH - Last Games for U15-U16 team represented. This is not only for new coaches.

Grapevine-Southlake Soccer Association is pleased to announce a new scholarship in honor of Nick Borkowski. Nick played soccer with GSSA for over 10 years, and this scholarship is intended to carry on his memory. The $1,500 scholarship toward college tuition will be awarded annually in the spring, to a High School Junior, Senior or student currently enrolled in College.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate through community activities and academic achievements, that they have the potential to be leaders in their community. Preference will be given to those that have been actively involved in GSSA and/or GSSC. Clear goals in what major is to be pursued and expectations of what college should do to prepare them for a career should be stated in a short essay. If interested, please submit your completed application, references and transcripts no later than May 1^st.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the scholarship is encouraged to donate funds to GSSA. GSSA is a registered not for profit organization, so all donations are tax deductible. Donations can be dropped or mailed to the GSSA office located at 1001 W. Northwest Hwy, Suite D, Grapevine, Texas 76051. Donations can also be made to the GSSA Scholarship Account at Legacy Bank in Grapevine, at the corner of Main St and Dallas Rd.

Recreational Soccer Program Information

Early Registration November 15-December 4, $78

Regular Registration December 5-January 22, $88

GSSA has recreational teams for ages 3 through adults.

Children must be 3 years old by 7/31/2011 (Fall 2011/Spring 2012 Seasons)

We play two seasons: Spring (February-May) and Fall (September-November).

Under 5 players (ages 3, 4, 5) participate in the coed Mini-Jogo program and play 8 games.

Girls may choose to play on an all-girls team beginning at U6.

Practice times and locations are determined by the volunteer coaches and are not know prior to registration.

Uniforms are provided for U4- U6.

Referees are provided for ages U7 and older.

Children may request to "play up" one age group.

U9-U19 teams play in the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League (NMCSL).

Approximately half of the U9-U19 games are in Grapevine/Southlake and the rest are in surrounding cities.

U6, U9-U10, U11+ home games will be played in Grapevine - Oak Grove.

U4, U5, U7 and U8 home games will be played at Bob Jones park in Southlake.

Lost & Found
Most items are returned to the concession stands at Bob Jones. If you are missing something that was not turned in at the fields, please email the office to see if we have it here. We have a ball and hoodie left at Bob Jones last Saturday. Email the office to see if they are yours, if you are missing one. They were left around the U7 games.
